Saw this tweet today

Looks like the Goldbergs kids are going to a Dead show tonite in a "vee-dub" minibus painted with Dead logos.

The show is based on Adam Goldberg's real life childhood and family in the 1980s. It will be interesting to see how accurately they reproduce a Dead concert. (good luck with that)

Anyway, for the curious, its on at 8:00p Eastern on ABC tonite (Wed).

Reminds of the movie "The Music Never Stopped", a "true" story about a kid who cannot form new memories as a result of a brain tumor but can do so when listening to his favorite music...60's-70's rock, and guess who the main group is? Yep, our boys. His father then takes him to a Dead show in NYC in an attempt to connect with him. While the story is good, their attempt at recreating a show falls miserably short of even coming close. Now, this flick was definitely on the low-budget side, but I think they might have done better to just show them going into the concert and leave it there. But besides that, it is OK.

Did not see that movie. Sounds interesting.
Assuming the Goldberg's van doesn't break down and they make it to the show, I'm guessing it will be focused on them sitting in the stands surrounded by stoned out Deadheads. I watch this show regularly. There is a character 'Naked Rob' who wears a different Dead t-shirt every week.

Naked Rob?

Would he happen to climb a pole and start shakin' his junk? Accuracy. If it's one thing we're know for, besides random acts of nudity, it's attention to detail.

Haha. No, definitely not the pole dancer from '72 Veneta. :-)
For reference, he's the guy with the cut off jeans in the twitter pic.

For accuracy, they could throw in a couple of loud off key singeralongers and a sweaty shirtless dancer or two who's danging to a rhythm & tempo completely different than the song being played.
